GENERAL
INFORMATION:
Hostería Del Amauta Boutique Hotel is located in the beautiful
area of Purmamarca which is the heart of "Quebrada de
Humahuaca" which has been declared of human interest by UNESCO.
It is 50 km away from the city of Jujuy and 180 km from Salta.
Its particular style was ispired on the natural landscapes
of the area and the regional culture in close harmony
with its setting. Its warm rooms are built with local materials
like: cardón, stone, wood, quebracho, poplar, reed and mud.
The combination of these materials give a modern and minimalist
look.
Hostería Del Amauta has 9 top-floor rooms, all of them
but one are prepared for handicapped people. The rooms
overlook the hills. The green gardens are filled with local
flora. Alfalfa is grown there and together with the colorful
hills becomes the perfect natural frame.
This boutique hotel is in the heart of the town of Purmamarca
a few meters away from the main square and the touristic place
"Los Colorados". This magical town became famous for its
eighteenth-century church that is considered a historic monument.
Its nave is made of cardón wood which has been combined in
such a way that it is a replica of the multi-coloured hills
that make this area so attractive.
Purmamarca is the starting point of an adventurous trip, from
it you can visit very nice towns such as: Maimará, Tilcara,
Humahuaca, Salinas Grandes, Cerro de los Siete Colores and
Paseo de los Colorados among others. The climate of the
region is warm and dry most of the year.
